Past board member of Triathlon WA Inc and Secretary for Friends of Perry Lakes Inc (not for profits).
  • Investment Proposals and Approvals: Led development of business cases to support funding for numerous multimillion-dollar growth investments in Australia, Norway, UK and West Africa. Decision maker on hundreds of smaller investments (up to US$50M) to improve asset profitability, reliability or safety.
  • Risk Management: Expert in assessing and managing both HSE and financial risks. Steering committee member for ExxonMobil’s process safety enhancement initiative. Designed and implemented a high consequence risk reporting process for ExxonMobil’s global operations. 
  • Strategy development: Led development of strategic analysis, vision, strategic objectives and goals for four oil and gas business units on 4 continents over the past 20 years. Led teams to implement strategies and monitor and adjust performance in a changing business environment. Corporate planner for two annual strategic planning cycles for ExxonMobil’s global oil and gas business with a focus on expense management and capital allocation.
  • Energy Industry Knowledge:  30 years energy industry experience with exposure to oil and gas production, marketing and transportation, power generation, LNG liquefaction and shipping, technology and energy transition. 

Board Experience

Board Member, Triathlon Western Australia Inc (TWA) 

Sept 2021 – Oct 2023

TWA is the non-profit governing body that oversees and promotes the sport of Triathlon in WA. It has 2000 members. During my tenure I led efforts to enhance TWA’s governance processes, including rewriting the Board Charter and Risk Management Framework and updating the constitution to ensure board diversity and governance best practices.


Secretary, Friends of Perry Lakes Inc (FoPL) 

Feb 2022 – Oct 2023

FoPL is a recently formed, not for profit community group with 100 members whose purpose is to conserve, restore and enhance the Perry Lakes Reserve in Floreat, WA. I was a founding member of the organisation and wrote the organisation’s constitution, developed their logo and website, interfaced with local council, set up membership processes and grew membership from 20 to 100. 

Other Interests

Part time expert consultant on the oil and gas/LNG industry. Triathlon Australia qualified coach. Founder and part time manager of a triathlon coaching partnership (TriExcel). Over 35 years’ racing endurance sports including Ultraman Australia, 7 Ironman triathlons, over 30 half Ironman triathlons, 3 marathons and a solo Rottnest Channel swim crossing (20km)
